Our Cause: To Support the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition.
The New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)(3) membership organization.
Who would have imagined we would live in a world where we all know someone who has breast cancer -- our mother, our daughter, our sister, our best friend, our neighbor, our client. Just imagine what it is like the moment you hear those 3 words, “you have cancer.” Now try to imagine fighting your cancer along with losing your job, your inability to pay for housing, no money to repair your car, no money for daycare, having your utilities shut off – the list goes on and on.
Yes, it is UNIMAGINABLE
The New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition(NHBCC)is an all-volunteer, grassroots organization whose mission is to advocate for and provide assistance to New Hampshire residents with breast cancer. Here in New Hampshire so many women are challenged by their breast cancer diagnosis along with financial hardship.
… 31 year old single New Hampshire mother with Stage 4 breast cancer who has no way to get to her treatment because her car cannot pass inspection. Her treatment facility is an hour from her house. She has no extended family. She can’t afford daycare. NHBCC was there to help.
…37 year old woman, lost her job, exhausted all savings and ran up her credit card trying to keep her mortgage current. NHBCC was there to help with a mortgage payment.
… 51 year old woman from Nashua who has no income needed one month's fuel assistance to get by. NHBCC was there to help with fuel.
….57 year old woman who could pay her bills but had little money for groceries. NHBCC was there to help with her groceries.
…a 61 year old self-employed woman needed assistance with health insurance. NHBCC was there to help maintain her health insurance.
NHBCC Support Services Fund has helped make a difference in the lives of so many New Hampshire women stricken with breast cancer. However, without the assistance of community minded individuals, we wouldn't be able to help.
